• 2 pink candles
• A nail
• Matches
• Rose oil
• Rose incense
• 2 tablespoons orrisroot powder
• 3 one-foot long pieces of pink rattail cord
• A pint-sized Mason jar & spring water to fill it
• A half-cup of sugar
• A lock of your lover's hair
• A lock of your own hair
• A sprig of ivy and a sprig of holly

Instructions

A New or Full Moon will work well, and if either of them falls on a Friday, you'll have it made. Venus's vibrations saturate the atmosphere every Friday. There's no better combination for a mat­rimonial spell.

Start your incense. With the nail, inscribe one candle with your name and one with your sweetheart's name and write "4 Ever 1" on both of them.

Anoint each candle wick to base with the rose oil and roll them in the orrisroot powder. Light them and set them in front of you with your candle on the left and your partner's on the right. Place the holly next to your lover's candle and the ivy next to yours.

As the candles burn, tie all the hair together with one of the pieces of cord. Now add the sugar to the spring water in the Mason jar. Mix it well enough for the sugar to dissolve.

Hold the lock of hair in your left hand and charge it with matrimonial imagery. When this is complete, pop it into the jar with the sugar and water.

Now charge the holly and the ivy in the same way and put them in the jar too. When this is done, hold the second piece of rattail cord in your hand as you say these words out loud:

We are lovers heart to heart,

The time has come for us to wed.

As I tie this not, the magic will start, It's as your wife that I will share your bed.

With your clearest and firmest intention, tie one knot in the piece of cord and put it into the jar with the rest of the ingredients. Cap the jar, shake it once, and set it next to the candles.

Now tie the two candles together with the last piece of cord. Do this as best you can. They don't need to be joined at the hip any more than the two of you do!

Sit here with your thoughts filled with your deepest wish for as long as you need to. When you feel complete, snuff the candles.

Leave everything where it is and once a day until they're burned down, light the candles and focus on your wedding.

When the candles are burned down to nothing, bury what's left of the candles and the jar in the North on the night of the New or Full Moon.
